i was giving john real life examples too. Day care in NYC for two kids is 4k per month. And the place is close six weeks during the year as well when the parents, grandparents collectivlely and separately do the day care. So many folks are house poor and now with falling property and job losses are beginning the foreclosure process because they cant sell or manage to pay the monthly because one earner is out of work. These folks may have had a cushion if they werent taxed to death at current supposedly low rates of 55% plus when you take fed, state, city, fica, medicare into account. Dont get me started. Folks like Ted who make peanuts think the rest of us need to be subsidizing him.
