China is oil drilling for Cuba a few mi from that area. Why shouldn't Americans benefit rather than Communist governments?
Don't pressure Pelosi or Obama on the issue--until after Nov 4.

The 2005 law didn't authorize any money to do any seismic testing. It also didn't allow enough time to do it.

According to the article, Democrats blocked an effort by Senate Republicans to get the seismic work funded in 2006. Prior to $4 gasoline, there's no way that any move, such as seismic work, that could've led to drilling would've been approved/funded by "Obstruct Drilling" Democrats. So Kenneth is blaming Bush, as is his usual disingenuous habit.

The Bush Administration never did the seismic survey to determine how much oil is in the outer continental shelf as directed by the 2005 Energy Act.
