in any case, taiwan province is soon saved...
O:) Grand deed, isn't it? Although I had never doubted about achieving the goal!

I am interested in setting up a model of self-sustainable ecological farm and use it as a base for RnD. Have done much preparation for it already. Would like to discuss with you about the solar. Was thinking use the Californian solar tile.

As to the pandas, I will see if I can get a hand on it once I get back to Wuhan next week. Spending time here with my daughter and son in NJ of the suburb of NYC, having put everything else aside for almost 2 months.

The Panthay Rebellion (known in Chinese as the Du Wenxiu Qiyi ?????, 1856–1873) was a separatist movement of the Hui people and Chinese Muslims, against the imperial Qing Dynasty in southwestern Yunnan Province, China, as part of a wave of Hui-led multi-ethnic unrest

Between 1648 and 1878, more than twelve million Hui and Uyghur Muslims were killed in ten unsuccessful uprisings against the Qing Dynasty.[1] The discrimination with which the Hui were treated by the Han and by the imperial administration was the cause of their rebellions. The Panthay Rebellion originated in a conflict between Han and Muslim tin miners in 1853, which degenerated into rebellion. In the following year, a massacre of Muslims was organized by the Qing officials responsible for suppressing the revolt. One of the leaders of the insurrection was Ma Dexin. Anxious to increase his own influence, Ma Dexin finally agreed to submit to the Qing in 1861.[2] He was succeeded by a man called Du Wenxiu (???; pinyin: Dù Wénxiù) (1823–1872), an ethnic Hui born in Yongcheng.

Starting from 1855 the Muslim majority of Yunnan had risen against the oppression to which they were subjected by the mandarins. They rose against the tyranny and extortion universally practiced by this official class, from which they were excluded. The mandarins had secretly urged mobs to attack the rich Panthays, provoked anti-Muslim riots, and instigated destruction of their mosques.[3] The religious hatred of the Panthays was thus aroused. The widespread Muslim desire to avenge insults to their religion led to a universal and well-planned rising.

Though largely forgotten, the bloody rebellion caused the death of up to a million people in Yunnan.[4] Many surviving Hui refugees escaped over the border to neighboring countries, Burma, Thailand and Laos, forming the basis of a minority Chinese Hui population in those nations

the detail of Changping battle.

When Changping battle broke out in 260 BC, General Lian Po was appointed to be the chief commander of Kingdom Zhao. After several minor setbacks, General Lian Po ordered the troops of Kingdom Zhao to stop attack and concentrate in consolidating defence work. So,the battle got into stalemate, because the troops of Kingdom Qin were also not powerful enough to split the defence-line of the defensive enemy.

The King of Qin got very nervous at the stalemate,so he sent spies to spread rumours in Kingdom Zhao that the troops of Kingdom Zhao got into defensive position just because their chief commander,General Lian Po,was a coward. Those Qin Spies also sent out rumours that the only Zhao's commander whom the King of Qin feared was General Zhao Kuo.
The king of Zhao fell into the trape and got to believe the rumours. So the king of Zhao dismissed General Lian Po and let General Zhao Kuo to take the place of General Lian Po.
At the news that experience-lacking general Zhao Kuo took the place of experienced general Lian Po,the King of Qin appointed general Baiqi to the chief commander all troops of Qin secretly at once. to keep the appointmentof general secret, the King of Qin ordered anyone who revealed the secret appointment should be beheaded at once.

Because of the shortage of real war experience, the eloquent general Zhao kuo ordered the troops of Kingdom Zhao to counter-attack. General Baiqi ordered the troops of Qin to pretend to be defeated and retreat dozens of miles. When the troops of Zhao led by general Zhao Kuo had left ther defence-works and chased the 'defeated' troops of Qin, General Baiqi secretely ordered the cavalries and some light-armored troops of Qin to cut off the logistic path of the troops of Kingdom Zhao by a small path.
Eventually ,the cavalries of Qin succeeded in cutting off all supply of food to all troops of Kingdom Zhao led by general Zhao Kuo and 0.45 million troops of Kingdom Zhao got surrounded .After starved for 46 days and nights, the 0.45 million troops of Kingdom Zhao launched the last attack to break the besiege but failed with 50,000 soldiers killed in vain .Their chief commander general Zhao Kuo also was killed during the last attack. So,the rest 0.4 million hopeless troops of Kingdom Zhao had to surrender .
But to people's fear, the chief commander of Qin, general Baiqi ordered the troops of Qin to bury the disarmed the 0.4 million Kriegies except 240 young guys at the ages of less 18 years old.

BTW, I introduce the butcher in Changping and the chief commander of Qin Kingdom , General Baiqi.

Baiqi(?-258BC) was a famous general in Chinese history . one hand ,he was a cruel butcher ,but on the other hand, he was also a legend of war art.All his life, he never lost any battle, because he had a acute sense of situation of wars.

As a general ,He acquired more military success than any other ones and was granted as Marquis of Wuxin by the King of Qin. .According to the greatest oriental historicial book "Shiji"(which was written by Sima Qian about 100 years later after Baiqi died), General Baiqi destroyed 1.65 million enemy's troops altogether all his life.

here are some of Baiqi's military success.
In 294BC,in Yique battle, Baiqi led Qin troops to beheaded 0.24 million united troops of Kingdom Han and kindom WEI.
In 278BC, Baiqi led Qin troops to defeat Kindom Chu thrice and occupied its capital Yin.
In 273BC,in Huayang battle, Baiqi led Qin troops to behead 0.13 million united troops of Kingdom Zhao and Kingdom Wei.
In 273BC ,Baiqi led Qin troops to drown 20,000 troops of Kingdom Zhao.
In 264BC, in Jin battle,Baiqi led Qin troops to behead 50,000 troops of Kingdom Han
In 260BC, in Changping battle, Baiqi led QIn troops to kill /bury 0.45 million troops of King Zhao.

badguy u sure this happened? digging graves for 0.4 is not a small feat in itself.

Changping battle is very famous in the history of east Asia, because it is the decisive battle for Kingdom Qin to unite China. Qin Kingdom detroyed the last resisting capacity of eastern 6 Kingdoms by Changping battle .

40 years after Changping battle, Kingdom Qin destroyed all eastern 6 Kingdoms and united China into the first Chinese empire, Qin(or Chin) empire in 221BC.

Changping battle were recorded by the most famous and greatest oriental historian Sima Qian(?-about 85BC) who lived only 100 years later than Changping battle.
