McCain warned Pres Reagan to not send Marines to Beirut--he was correct. McCain urged Pres Bush to implement the surge in Iraq--he was correct. You can't argue with Mac's proven good judgement.

McCain called the surge right, took the right position on Marines in Beirut and on the Russian invasion of Georgia. Looks like pretty good judgment to me.

Especially compared to the alternative.
