That's true, but only because the seller wanted to sell the two parcels as a unit and the Obamas couldn't afford both. Thats from your link. Now why would a wife of a man who claims to be bankrupt put up $625K to buy a 60 foot wide strip of a yard? You do understand that to buy the lot meant most likely it was an all cash deal. Its very difficult to get a loan on vacant land. So Rezko's wife probably came up with the cash. You know how that is......a rich man's/woman's bankruptcy is not the kind of bankruptcy the average joe experiences. They still have cash reserves. Besides, it was a good deal. She made a tidy profit on the deal. Why would Barack let them do this? He couldn't afford the house otherwise? Maybe, but either way he is being done a favor. He couldn't afford to buy both the house and the lot. He's far from being as rich as the McCains'. Whats in it for the Rezko's? What is gonna be developed on a strip of land 60' wide? 50' wide now, since Obama bought a 10' wide strip of it. That's a standard lot in a big city. You are used to the open spaces of TX. Seattle is a smaller city than Chicago and my lot size is 100' by 50', and that's a very big lot for Seattle. In SFO and NYC, the lots are the size of postage stamps. My explanation is the best one I've seen so far. Not really.....not even close.
