In about 6 weeks my weight is down about 10 pounds and have lost about 4 inches off my waist measured at the navel. I do know when you burn fat it's from all over and not from a specific area. Also when you lose weight it is not uncommon for about half of it to be muscle. My exercise and protein intake is an effort to fight that.

In the past, weight loss for me has been mostly though starvation which I know is not good. I'm trying to be a little smarter this time and am also using whey and soy protein some. One thing I will say though is that protein seems to quench my hunger better than other snacks.

I'm not eager to resume statin use, but will do so if my cholesterol level is up significantly and will probably have it checked within the next month.

Could your walks have anything to do with your waist loss?

I have been off all wheat, corn, refined sugar, beef and pork for three weeks now.

What's wrong with beef and pork?
