Seems you dems need to learn about computers instead of making fun of McCain not using a computer. I would think you guys would have learned by now to search for your own skeletons.

Just like 2004, the dem candidate is going to beat himself, I'm entertained, not threatened.

"Why does Obama threaten you so much that you keep taking desperate measures to put him down?"

Because they have this thick file on all the likely candidates. Gamed them. Figured out the best way to attack almost anyone. They apparently have spent millions doing this stuff.

Obama, though, has come out of left field. They tried some generic stuff, it hasn't stuck. Rove decided the best approach was he is an elitist, arrogant and out of touch. Doesn't seem to have gotten much traction except with the deadenders. The whole celebrity thing seems to have some traction. But, it doesn't appear to have helped McCain at all. His numbers have been more or less the same for months. What they have done is increase Obama's negatives.

And that just isn't good enough. Obama's negatives are nowhere near as high as to give them a whole lot of hope. McCain, despite having the whole negative thing to himself, has not been able to change his numbers at all. The best he has done is to give some Obama supporters a pause.

That isn't a good sign this far from the election. McCain is nowhere near 51%. If he was tracking at 49% or even 48%, then he might be able to cruise to victory by hammering away at Obama's negatives. But, he isn't. So all he can do is hope that Obama doesn't hit on anything that resonates. Given the way he came back from vacation, the possibility that Obama can drive up McCain's negatives is pretty high. That, and with Bob Barr being the libertarian candidate and most of the third party candidates being conservatives, McCain is in a pretty precarious position. McKinney, who is the Green candidate, won't draw much, if any, from Obama. Could pick up some undecideds who think Obama is too mainstream, but that is about it. If Obama manages to hit on something that resonates, well, game over.

I may have missed something, but I think this pretty much sums it up.
