Ironically, US foreign relations have hit NEW RECORD LOWS under this Republican administration. Meanwhile, Obama is seen as a breath of fresh air abroad...which means nothing to the Republican propagandists.

The commercial is titled “Passed Over,” and was released at 3 a.m. today — a point made by the McCain campaign in apparently a reference to that call in-the-middle-of-the-night commercial of Senator Clinton’s from the primary season. (Yesterday the McCain camp released an ad using the words of Senator Joe Biden, the newly named running mate to Mr. Obama, against the presumptive Democratic nominee.)

Not only does the latest ad use clips from Senator Clinton’s criticisms of Mr. Obama during the Democratic contests earlier this year — including his ties to Tony Rezko and whether he ran a negative primary campaign — it also hits head-on the fact that she wasn’t chosen to be his running mate even though she received “millions of votes.” The message seems to be directed at those disaffected Clinton loyalists — women and some independent voters — who the McCain campaign has tried to court this summer.

The McCain campaign says the ad will run in some of its key states. Wonder if it will be on TV this week in Denver, during say, the roll call vote for Senator Clinton?

The Script, by the mystery female announcer:

She won millions of votes. But isn’t on his ticket.
Why?

For speaking the truth.

On his plans:

Senator Clinton: “You never hear the specifics.”

Announcer: On the Rezko scandal:

Senator Clinton: “We still don’t have a lot of answers about Senator Obama.”

Announcer: On his attacks:

Senator Clinton: “Senator Obama’s campaign has become increasingly negative.”

Announcer: The truth hurt. And Obama didn’t like it.

Early this morning, the McCain campaign released another ad referring to the vice-presidential pick of Senator Barack Obama, but this one features the one he didn’t choose: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
