If foreign policy was the primary concern, I think he would have picked Sam Nunn. Nunn would have had the added benefit of being a southernor.

Biden was picked for his story - Irish-Catholic working class guy who rides Amtrak, the scrappy kid from Scranton.

We'll see how it sells.....one thing for sure, Biden is flaky enough to keep it interesting. <g>

Good observation and it already appears McCain's age has become a non-issue for the majority of voters.
