just in in-tray, can you comment? <<Obama chose Biden in order to dispel the notion that he is 'weak' and inexperienced in the foreign policy realm compared to McCain. however, while Biden may be 'experienced' in foreign policy, his grave errors of judgment in this realm are legion - his unqualified support for the Iraq catastrophe is just one glaring example. Obama made imo a big strategic mistake, as he is now alienating his 'natural' support base, which consists of those people who have had enough of the never-ending policy of empire and war. he should not strive to become more like McCain, but to distance himself from same. not that i think it matters much in the end as it were. >>
