The impression is that Obama is trying to mimic Kennedy with the older statesman, but Biden is no LBJ.

I think Biden was a knee jerk reaction to the Russian invasion of Georgia and BO's poor response to it. They didn't think they needed a strong foreign policy leader until that happened.

Prior to the invasion, they thought a President who would hold gab fests with foreign leaders, whether friend or foe, was all the American public wanted.

After all, the MSM had, for years, tried brainwashing the masses into believing that the paramount goal of U.S. foreign policy was to be loved by the Europeans.

Maybe the sight of Obama as a rock star to beer slugging Germans countered that message.

Just a thought.
