And the Iraqi troublemakers were joined by the Al Qaeda trouble makers. When the Iraqi trouble makers decided to part ways with their Al Qaeda counterparts and instead side with the US troops, then we started to see a downtrend in violence. We need to give the Iraqi trouble makers what is due to them and instead not take it away and assume it for purposes of getting elected. I have believed that the only way a guerrilla war can be won is by winning the hearts and minds of the guerrillas and not by unleashing the conventional military power.
