In this case, it's not a majority, it's 10-15% of the electorate that either can't be bothered to read up on issues or really doesn't care. They want their politicians like their tabloid celebrities, either pumped up and pretty or drowning in the latest awful scandal. Those are the marginal voters who decide who gets 50-something and who gets 40-something. The McCain people know that, and they will work overtime in the gutter to close the deal. Four more years of guttersniping logjam BS inside the Beltway. Won't that be lovely if it happens.
