"I think it's a lie and a distortion that Afghanistan is "self-defense." Ten, we obviously couldn't leave Osama in Afghanistan able to plan and stage more attacks unchallenged. Bush gave the Taliban the option of turning him over and they refused. So, Aghanistan WAS "self-defense" at the time, quite unlike Iraq. That said, Afghanistan is no longer "self defense". It's just another unfinished, pointless Bushie quagmire pissing match now.
