Picking a puppy is hard for me... they all look about the same and then they are moving around so it just seems like a sea of fur. I can't think of the title but we used a test from what we call "the Monks Puppy book". It worked on our last golden, but ALL the puppies failed ALL the tests this time <g>. The Monks would have left empty handed.

We ended up taking the largest (and alpha) male based on the breeders description of his personality. Also, at that point, he was the highest rated for showing, and we sort of toyed with that idea (but I doubt we'll ever find the time).

He's turning into a great dog, more aloof than any of our previous dogs, less needy, able to entertain himself. We often call him Prince Charles.
