Blackened fish - often pan blackened - is indeed Cajun. Good for black man, good for white man as well.

Unless your wife is making it and splatters the super hot oil on your arm... which happened to me many years ago.

No it isn't. It is creole. Coon ass cooking is different. Not nearly as spicy or labor intensive.
