Real, get a clue. Most of those early cars in China were rip-offs or reverse-engineered designs, and many production models still are.

Have you ever ridden in one of those cars? Have you ever spoken to people who run those dealers? Have you ever spoken to people who have owned them?

Well, I have. There has been almost no intellectual property protection in China, and lots of designs and engineering have been ripped off.

I have no sympathy towards the people who have had their stuff ripped off, as they knew the game when they set up shop to sell in China.

In the mid 1980's I worked in the US and China with people who were part of the joint venture between AMC and Beijing Jeep, and both later became part of Chrysler.

I guess I'm saying that while you're Chinese, that doesn't make you an expert on everything Chinese.

Your vehement irrational attacks against any supposed slight of the mainland could be taken as national pride, but most long time China experts would likely attribute it to a national inferiority complex that dates back to before the Opium Wars.

Even Mao expressed this. Of course, you will say, **'* *** ****.

I'll fill in the blanks after your predictable response.

I don't believe I have ever had the pleasure of conversing with you. By your tone and word usage I really doubt that you are from the mainland. Regardless, I posted a link without much comment. Now that I know this subject irritates you, I am tempted to go further, but everyone else is now saying "Oh-no", so I won't.
