The objection that Barnett alludes to, the Porn problem, is a major objection by almost all. I have looked at it from all angles, and decided the cure is much worse than the disease.

What we would have to do to freedom of expression would far outweigh making sure that your 10-year-old can't see dirty pictures. Internet porn is the price we pay for freedom on the Internet.

Personally, it was interesting to watch my daughter and her husband, Libertarians to the core, try like mad to limit their kids Internet access. I didn't annoy them by trying to tell them the attempt was useless.

Contrary to accepted wisdom, the outcome seems to be that it LESSENS sexual violence by people rather than increasing it. The pattern I see to it is that while watching porn grows like mad in cultures when they are first exposed to it, the watching levels off as the people get used to it.
