McCain's correct decisions:

1. His personal decision to refuse early release from the Hanoi Hilton signaled a man with strong character. He admits the failure of his 1st marriage was his worst mistake in life.

2. McC advised Pres Reagan to not send the troops to Beirut-- he was right.

3. McC recommended the surge to Pres Bush when he knew it was very unpopular--he was right.

4. Prior to Putin's invasion of Georgia, when asked his opinion, McC stated that when he looked into Vladimir's eyes all he saw were the letters K.G.B.--right again.

koan: I am just responding to your question below. I doubt very much you are really interestd in any ideas which run contrary to your vision of reality, but I will fall for it and answer:

First: I have watched both Obama and McCain speak. Based on my perception I feel Obama's thinking is much more sophisticated than McCain. Simple as that, but for quantitative facts I offer the following.

Obama has a law degree from Harvard and was editor of the Harvard law review. Last night I heard, for the first time, that Obama did not even put his race on his application for Harvard law school.

McCain who graduated 5th from the bottom of his class of 900 got into Annapolis because his dad was an admiral, but he had bad grades. McCain cannot even use a computer.

Obama figured how to win elections in the streets of chicago and just beat the clintons with a super campaign.

Obama spent a lot of time developing his mind and McCain does not even see the need. There is a tape floating around where Obama talks about the need to think and be introspective and mcCain saying maybe some day he will do that.

Stratgic thinking is how you beat Putin: Sun Tzu

"He who knows the enemy and himself, Will never in a hundred battles be at risk; He who knows not the enemy but knows himself, Will sometimes win and sometimes lose; He who knows neither the enemy nor himself Will be at risk in every battle -Sun Tzu.

tonto: "Let's cut back on the exaggeration. It serves no purpose...but I am interested based on the individuals histories of KGB and Community Director to find where you think Obama is tougher than Putin and why? I think your statement is crazy. Putin is an extremely tough individual. You underestimate him and that is one reason why Obama is having difficulties. People are afraid they will have less security if he thinks like you.

Putin is extremely smart, he worked his way up a much more difficult system than Obama. I would bet on Putin over Obama. I do not know if Obama is more intelligent than Putin, that could be, but academics are not what is needed in this circumstance, you need a smart man to decide on the next move after getting the advice from specialists."
