AIB - yes I owned it but sold it shortly thereafter. For me being careful means that indeed i avoid bank stocks from the US, GB, IRE and Spain for now. My strategy with bank stocks is to wait until RE bottom out and then buy the best (or least worst) of he pack. That may not give me the best entry prices but I think it will be a decent entry. Right now we are nowhere near the bottoming point in all those countries.

DB has leveraged loan exposure (amongst other things to NY estate loans) but not much in terms of domestic (German) risk exposure.
