It's a 24/7 one sided all news is good news show.

Not everyone, Jon Nadler who writes a column Mon - Friday on Kitco has been very cautious/bearish on gold, also Jack Chan on 321gold.com has been pretty good at calling the turns. I think it detracts from Sliders (or your) analysis when you terms like gold bugs and following the herd are tossed around. Doubtless some readers would fall into that category but by no means all. I treat my precious metals holdings as insurance ( they make up about 15% of my liquid assets..) and on a number of occasions have bought DZZ or shorted SLV.

As for your call on $60 to $80 dollar a barrel for oil on another board. It's possible that we could hit that but I am betting that the average price stays above $100 for the next year. (I am somewhat bearish however on Natural Gas) I suppose it's possible Bernanke could morph into Paul Volker but I don't think that's the case, especially with the banking system in such bad shape. I will be a very interesting market after the election into the first months of next year. Time will tell.
