The Iraq war of deposing Sadaam was very brief. Keeping the peace was poorly thought out and executed. But rather then admit defeat in that we with McCain's insistence implemented the surge. Now we have won the peace also. Obama was wrong on the surge and still won't even admit the surge worked. Bizarre actually.

His response to Russia/Georgia and his inability to admit he was wrong on the surge keeps pointing out in a glaring manner that he is not ready for prime time.

As ahs been pointed out, the Iraq war has actually been two conflicts.

McCain was right on the surge and Barry was wrong. McCain was right about the Marines in Beirut. McCain responded forcefully and swiftly to Russia's invasion of Georgia. Obama had to figure out how to respond.

Like Joe Biden and Hillary have both said, McCain is qualified to be President. Unlike Obama (they've both said that too).
