DOW -11412- was too weak going into final hour to muster up much strength. Did get the usual eod pop to maintain some positive aura to the headlines
But ultimately, this is what it's all about.

Europe stocks turn positive echoing Wall St rally

FRANKFURT, Aug 26 (Reuters) - European shares turned positive in late afternoon trading on Tuesday, tracking U.S. equity markets which rallied on the back of surprisingly robust consumer confidence.

At 1450 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares was up 0.2 percent at 1,171.99 points -- shortly after touching a day's high at 1,173.21 points.
