Ten

While my belief system is not the same as yours I respect the view of those who differ from mine.

A person who believes that the life of a HUMAN BEING begins at conception is in a difficult spot when asked to sanction the use of abortion as a birth control technique. I understand the dilemma but sure don't know what will ever solve it.

A friend of my daughter, 30 years old and a PhD, recently moved to San Fran and shacked up. Last month, she moved back to NC, pregnant, after 6-8 months of shacking with some guy and after he walked out on her because "he already has two kids and doesn't want another one now". How in hell does that happen? I don't get it. Obviously an intelligent person, an adult, yet gets herself into this mess? Abortion should not be an option for this person, and certainly not after a month or two. Now, I'm sure you and many others think abortion should never be an option, but I can accept some pragmatism. I just don't handle stupidity very well.

"What I don't like is how personal convenience factors into the question of whether the unborn child is indeed a life. That's just wrong."

Children AREN'T miracles Ten. Every organism on earth has some means of making them - they're common as dirt. I'd say committing to having and raising a child involves a lot more than "personal convenience factors"!

That's why you and your wife have so many kids, isn't it?

In our society these days, it seems it's not a life until the mother decides it is

Oh BS. The vast majority are first term abortions. You're a little judas cross pollinated with a Jerry Falwell.
