Maybe, Biden is more of a giver than a taker. He arose from the ashes but isn't greedy after all these years.

The fact that he has spent the majority of his career and energy as a public servant means that he didn't have time to get rich. Of course, one way is to do both at the same time, but finally those guys are getting their due justice (Stevens, Cunningham, Ney, Delay, Libby (oops! Pardoned by Bush), etc).

If a working stiff with a great record who takes the train home every day and works to put his kids through college but refuses to exploit his position for riches is your idea of a bad choice for VP, then I think you need to have a long talk with yourself about American values.
