It is just like when you and the media claimed that al Sadr had won when in fact he had been defeated -- a dreadful mistake, soldier-bashing, in effect -- that none of you ever apologized for or even corrected.

I seldom apologize or correct things I haven't done.

You are just wrong on the ramifications of the Iraq war. Everybody knows that. It's indisputable.

Obviously, we have done NOTHING of the sort. Iran is just as "powerful" today as it would have been, with or without Iraq.

Iraq under Saddam was a counterweight to Iran; now it is an ally. That makes Iran's position in the ME considerably different.
