OT and my last post on this subject.

I didn't equate them and specifically mentioned each one. I also didn't say anything about the Democrats and religion. I am sure that there are a lot of religious people in both parties. Some are good people, some aren't.

The Democrats don't campaign on a platform of morality and ethics like Bush did. The Republicans openly and actively court the religious, seek to eliminate the separation of Church and State, and support the Church's views on many issues.

My post was basically pointing out that the people who most preach moral and ethics in reality tend to be the most immoral and unethical people. I see this everywhere. The Senators consider themselves honorable while they cheat on their wives, steal, take bribes, lie, and generally shaft their constituents. I read a study last year that most of the current Senators have criminal records. Find me a priest who doesn't drive a luxury car when they have supposedly taken a vow of poverty. Around here they all drive shiny new cars, usually Cadillacs or better.

When someone tries to tell you about morals and ethics, you can be pretty sure they are neither. Could be useful information during this presidential campaign.
