Bush was not prepared for what Putin did. He was blindsided. Why? It is not a matter of Bush giving Putin a chance. That is the whole point. Putin wants equality with the US. Bush thought he could just do anything he wants and Putin is telling bush to shove it. Bush has been arming many of the countries surrounding Russia. And purposely. that has not een lost on the Russians! What would we do if Russia armed Mexico, Venezuala and Cuba? And they may now. And Russia will probaly put defensive missles in Iran and Syria and they will say well you put them in Poland. Bush did not think his policies through.
