Yiwu,

a) I thought the Olympics were very successful, and I was pleased and grateful about how they transpired;
b) I can empathize with high security. I personally have never liked the political crap swirling around games, even it it is nearly inevitable
c) I am a big believer in 100% accountability, hence my China is responsible viewpoint.

And don't get carried away... I wasn't arguing about terrorists or anything of a sort.

Inaction, lack of laws, whatever... that's a choice. When you understand that, you understand why bad stuff that comes from such a position is the responsibility of those who set up the system that implicitly condones it.

China is undertaking huge steps, and of course there is much baggage, not only from within, but from without.

I personally do not feel the need to convince you of anything. My opinion is not fact, nor yours. And as opinions, they are subject to revision based on new information. So for that reason, I appreciate hearing your viewpoint, as with many others.
