I don't understand what keeps you from mixing up the two kinds of "martyrs."

You may think that a suicide bomber fits some dictionary definition of "martyr," but considering how horrific that crime is, I don't think that definition is worth highlighting.

You may think that a parent can love a son or daughter that becomes a suicide bomber, but once again, considering how horrific that is, I don't really care whether someone loved that suicidal mass murderer.

Moral equivalence ...
