<<I suspect that prices will go higher as soon as the money starts dropping from the helicopters.>>

That's what most retail metal investors believe. How much front running has already taken place in anticipation of the helicopter drops?

This is exactly the condition for a sell the news reaction. I find it funny that the equity market bulls, the housing market bulls and the precious metals bulls are all in the same boat....hoping and praying for a helicopter drop from Comdr. Bernanke.

The amount of hate email I have been receiving in response to "The Great Gold, Silver Conspiracy Explained" is large but not unsurprising. People simply want to blame others for their own trading mistakes. I will have more on that in a separate post.

Most of the emails I received are unprintable because of the profanity. However I will print one of them anyway with slight edits. I will voluntarily withhold the name of the person writing although no such request was asked. ...

Money dropping from the helicopters? I thought Mish had an interesting point that MP3 growth had come to a screeching halt in July - 18% down to 3%. FNM and FRE have cut back their massive mortgage repurchases too. CDO prices are firming this week. GDP numbers looked OK, unemployment is rising, but not too bad of a problem.

Hell, I would be so bold as to suggest that the FED bump up interest rates just to reinforce the dollar, and get a little tougher on inflation. The sooner he acts at this point, the less he has to do down the road. I'd rather give back 1 or 2 cuts now that have to watch a longer series of cuts hikes down the road when housing has recovered.
