Oh that's what you mean.....well one has to be careful on that for sure but not with silver. Silver in 10 ounce and 1 ounce bars is never counterfeited. It is unlikely that it is even counterfeited in 100 ounce stamped bars but on occasion the poured bars can be hollowed out and filled with something else which is why you should always weigh the 100 ounce bars that are the poured type and while it is normal to have a slight variance it is not normal for it to me more than a few % off.

Lots of fraud on Ebay and the buyers are dumb as fence posts.


I buy and sell coins on EBAY for years and find it much better to buy deals than any coin shop will ever offer. Right now there is a crazy demand for common silver dollars pre 1921. It is irrational, but what isn't these days.
