>>He and Biden have incredible stories of overcoming adversity. The US is facing some of its greatest crisises in our lifetimes. We will need those with experience in building from the ground up and in making the right decisions in times of despair to lead.<<

While I admire Obama and Biden to a certain degree, I can't help feeling that if they get elected, the biggest obstacle to "change" (meaning in a constructive direction) will be overcoming the inertia and closed-mindedness on issues of the professional Democratic political elites. Ergo, using stimulus packages that simply pay off the populace. Continuing to enable the Financial-Industrial complex. Pandering instead of statesmanship. Talk during campaigns is cheap, lets see if he can twist arms like Big Dog did on the budget when he first came to power.

Pelosi, Dodd and Reid will prove to be the real problem, not Repiglicans. Not to say problems with McCain wouldn't be worse, the first priority is to get our ass out of Iraq.
