longshot: If Bush called him a member of the axis of evil you libs would have gone nuts. koan: Come on-lol! Bush could have warned us without resorting to hyperbole. His axis of evil speech was nuts. The kids in Iran are very pro American. In fact most kids will not tolerate their parents radical Islam and many of the parents tread lightly around their kids. But the kids are also nationalistic and do not like be called 'an axis of evil". The kids in Iran suffer under the yoke of tyranny the clerics control them with; but if we bomb Iran we lose the kids. If someone bombed us do you think we would see it as being for our own good? These are the subtleties Bush does not understand and Cheney even less so. Cheney used to understand these things. There is a great, very prescient interview with Cheney, after the senior Bush did not go into Baghdad during the first gulf war where Cheney explains exctly why Bush senior did not go after Sadam. Cheney in that interview explained what would happen if they had gone into Baghdad. And events unfolded in Iraq under lil bush exactly as Cheney predicted when he was defense secretary.
