My daughter says there is a W Hotel opening downtown sometime in the next 6 months. She wants to get a summer internship there next summer.

My son rode the light rail downtown on Tuesday. He reported that it was a real kick seeing all the action on the mall and on the streets. And apparently there was a huge show of force from cops, cops, cops. Mounted, walking, riot gear, thousands of them. Everywhere. They wanted badly to avoid any serious happenings.
