I'm guessing that this is a way for McCain to gracefully change his mind on ANWR. Attribute it to Palin's persuasion.

We recently received a donation request from the McCain camp.

We returned the solicitation with the following notation:

NO ANWR = NO $

Perhaps we were not alone.

Hope? You underestimate Sarah Barracuda.

I bet she extracted an ANWR commitment from McCain as a quid pro quo for accepting the VP role.
