I'm happy to see that Palin has been well received here and will be eagerly waiting to see subsequent polls going into the Republican convention next week. I'm sure Democrats will try to laugh off this selection, but I think McCain has hit a home run. * * *

I hope you're right. She reminds me of one of those full of energy Republican wives of a candidates, you meet hanging around before and after an event, who can tell you more about an issue, in less time and with more clarity than their husbands who are running. If she can manage raising 4 kids and having a baby while Governor, I can imagine she can handle just about anything. We'll see in the coming weeks. It sure appeared she owned the stage on her first appearance. I would love to see her use a fishing analogy or hunting analogy while debating Biden. He looks like one of those country club types who hasn't pick up a fishing rod in decades. "Well you know Senator, rooting out corruption is like pulling the hook out of a 30lb Salmons gut, you just have to keep pulling and twisting until it comes loose". How about this one.... "Seems to me Senator, dealing with a foreign leader like Putin is like hunting a black bear. You have to do a lot of research, look for signs and line up your sights just right before pulling the trigger and acting".
