I think McCain's best picks were Tom Ridge or Mitt Romney -- they were both very qualified (even if you don't agree with all their views)...I really think Ridge would have been the best for McCain -- he's a moderate Republican who has strong national security experience...Ridge has been a popular governor of Pennsylvania and could help McCain win a crucial state too...Plus Ridge is not hardline on the abortion issue and might actually attract some of the upset female Hillary supporters.
