As a captain? His military experience as a captain qualifies him to be President? Pretzel logic. Face it. McCain jettisoned his strongest legitimate attack - experience - once he saw the DNC. He picked a woman to help demographically - both with his base, and potentially disaffected Hillary supporters - and traded that for never being able to play the experience card again. In a close race, that might make the difference, but if so, we have a person who has been governor of a state ranked 47th in population for 20 months a half heartbeat away from the presidency.
