9/5/08 update
Was it Sarah Barracuda who got the Bears all riled up last week? Whoever it was, sure got them angry. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -14.95% YTD (vs. -10.74% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 2.58% YTD (vs. up 6.11% YTD a week ago). The Contest portfolio median also got punished, closing down -11.81% YTD (vs. down -7.98% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 9 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 8 of the portfolios beating the NBI. GENE's portfolio remains in the Contest lead with a 104.5% YTD gain. ROBERT's portfolio is still second place with a 38.3% YTD gain.
Have a terrific end-of-summer weekend people!
