A midpoint between Corpus Christi and Brownsville likely would result in the least amount of damage on the U.S. gulf coast. A lot of desolate ranch land for the most part, and not a lot of drilling rigs offshore.

Actually, I have my doubts now whether it will be Texas or Florida... the reason is that the Craven Brooks shows no tracking toward NO and minor values for Westward movement but some strong values for the lower Florida - West Coast... I guess another day will tell.
