The only optimistic thing that I can think of is that they will simply lose the election. Based on what happened in 2006 (which I did not expect and the polls really did not correctly predict), I think they will indeed lose badly. If not, I will call back Galactus with no remorse. As for the costs of Vietnam, the human cost to date was certainly massive for us and others and you are absolutely right that there is no real effort to measure it. To do so would be like taking a very long look in the mirror and we have no will to do that. So your points are well taken.
