You brought it up as an obvious badge of Democratic superiority so I figured it was a data point you were hanging an argument on.

I agree that it was I who brought it up. But I did not bring it up as a Democratic or a Republican issue. I just stated the facts. A Democrat can screw up the economy too (Carter). But today we are at a economic nadir. I feel very comfortable giving Romney a crack at it not because he is a Republican but because of his demonstrated skills in that area. It is the same with Obama because of his easy access to economic stalwarts like like Bill Clinton. Robert Reich, Rubin, Paul Volker, Warren Buffet etc. Ntt that Bush Jr.didn't have access to these folks. He just did not want to talk to these folks.

"It's the economy stupid" is what we are going to see for the next 67 days.

wrong! He, Barack, will rally the national will and build our status in the world; McCain will drag us into unnecessary squabbles with other countries and foot drag on national priorities.
