I guess we agree on one thing and that is equal rights.

The sad thing is we are still not there.


We are in big areas like employment, education, and housing, aren't we? What do you have in mind? (I think it would be widely agreed that there is gender bias in child custody and visitation cases throughout the U.S.)

Personally I support every law that takes us a step in that direction.

Well, there might've been one big law like the ERA.

When there is a civil matter, such as child custody or visitation or divorce in general, I do not support the idea of the government taking the side of one of the parties. California provides attorneys called Family Law Facilitators who can assist in preparing court papers for parties without attorneys, but they don't represent them in court. And 50% of parties represent themselves. So I support government-paid legal self-help, rather than government-paid lawsuits.
