I never supported that particular criticism of Kerry and wont if it is used on the current candidates. A good leader should be able to stand solidly on important principles of his campaign platform but an excellent leader recognizes when it is time to change. When unforeseen events take place, circumstances develop, or information comes available, change is not just a good idea it is inevitable and an essential aspect of being able to move things in a positive direction is the ability to change one's mind as these things take shape.
