Yes, four years in the US Senate on the Foreign Relations Committee making numerous foreign trips and meeting foreign leaders, plus cosponsoring major ethics legislation that passed the entire Senate, then spending 19 months traveling literally all over the country campaigning, winning one of the toughest national Democratic nomination contests ever while raising more money from more individual donors EVER by a factor of two I think, becoming a best-selling author with books he wrote himself, and now leading an experienced Washington politician in the polls for the presidency.

I probably left out some important stuff but those stand out most. Palin won the governorship in a distant state with 700,000 people and floating in oil money.
