Any woman that dedicated to her job isn't raising her kids, and if she is raising them, she's shorting the job. There are two full time jobs at play with kids and jobs- I know for me my kids came first. I have a hard time respecting women who don't put their kids first when they had the choice to have them or not- that's the whole point of choice, imo. Once you choose, then you have to choose to do well by those children. And I don't even know how much work it is to be mayor of a town of 7000. It doesn't sound like much. And the snow mobile business didn't sound like much. She's only been governor since 2006, so I'm not sure how well we can judge her job there- but no doubt we'll have rapid updates on her competence (or lack thereof). I don't approve people based on how many kids they have any more than on whether they have a penis or ovaries- I'm interested in whether they share my values. And she obviously doesn't. If she did she'd be home raising her baby. And she'd be pro choice, and she wouldn't be for creationism in schools, and she'd be 180 on about everything else.

She is no doubt a very capable person. I know many capable people who raise families and work. But that doesn't translate into world leader. Her worldview seems to have begun and ended in Alaska. She even says she hasn't thought much about Iraq- which I would bet means she hasn't thought much about NK, Iran, or Russia. We have had eight years with a president who had no intellectual curiosity or global understanding when he entered the Oval Office, but did have two terms as a gov., and he got us into an impossible war partially based on ignorance of an entire culture. So far, it seems she knows nothing beyond oil and fishing. Oh, and the charming sport of aerial hunting. PRes. Garfield was shot 6 months into office. Reagan was shot. Kennedy was shot. People die. She is not ready. I think this is the most bizarre choice ever.
