I think that's fair.
As I wrote yesterday-- (was it only yesterday??)-- my brother and sister in law live in Wasilla and know her and like her very much.
If she performs well in the debates, shows a good grasp of the world, the economy, and the issues, and speaks fairly coherently--that would be extremely reassuring.

But right now, all I can see is a woman who had no real career at all until she discovered at the PTA that she could get up and run things and then she had her stint as mayor of an incredibly small town. I come from a small town, and our mayors-- well-you don't have to be terribly proficient at much. She hasn't faced much at all as a governor, nor has she been one much beyond a kind of probation period.

Already there have been odd comparisons to Reagan or Thatcher--(Gotta wonder just what is IN that Koolaid!) ANd as long as exaggerations or false claims are being thrown around, I will resist. But I will also be open to persuasion that she offers more than is readily apparent.

For me, this is more about McCain than her anyway. He doesn't know her. He is gambling. There is no way this is a choice based on qualifications to govern; it's based on what will earn votes.
And he's gambling with MY country, and my children's futures.
