Sarah Palin must prove her "mantle" until then I will not pass judgment on her abilities and capabilities to learn and perform. True we are gambling with our future but that is what may bring the "CHANGE" - no big risks no big rewards

Very risky choice for McCain but history has proven from the times of Hannibal and Alexander the Great that unconventional and risky choices bring results if one knows to integrate his previous doubters and enemies in his administration. This is how little Macedonia transformed itself in an empire.

Political elections are nothing less than the tactics and logistics of war in strategy and execution with the simple goal of winning and destroying the ideological opposition.

Long are gone the issues of what is best for the nation and its people those are all pretenses to gain the searched after political position.

Execution of declared policy in real life under political constrains is a complete other issue!!

The big question is what would be the best choice from the available candidates which where chosen by a minority of party hacks and not by the public at large.

As a side remark I would like to mentions some facts;

How many very successful US companies are headed by those without substantial academic credentials? Like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Sheldon Adelson, Ross Perot, Carl Icahn, T. Boone Pickens and so many more - academic credentials indicate the will to gain education but are not a proof of excellence in day to day life or business.

How many excellent academicians are/where a failure when dealing with people, social issues or international choices – would any one choose an "Albert Einstein" as President or Vice President? or so many more excellent academics with excellent academic credentials who are very smart or posses great wisdom?

People that are very smart and many times very well educated are not always successful in dealing with real life problems - In too many instances their logical solution and visions are incomprehensive to and by the general public, and in many cases rejected for the same reason - how then can such a person lead even if their solution / proposals are very right and to the point, and will be proven correct in hindsight?

Before passing judgment one should ask himself what is the difference between a strategic investor a trader and strategic analyst – each can be excellent in its own profession but a financial catastrophe when forced to changing positions

US history and success is proven to be implemented by bold, determined people who took risks and where able to manage the results of their actions. This what made this country great with all their drawbacks. .. and that is why communism failed and Europe is retreating as a power to influence world issues.

China got it, and is a growing and coming power knowing how to play the world chess game, contrary to Russia which remained a backwater country resorting to plain brutal power and will fade away with time if they will not change their approach to the world.

So to all nay sayer lets wait and see
