I admit I am completely shocked at the nomination of Palin when there were dozens of decent female candidates available (assuming he wanted to nominate a woman). Olympia Snowe would have been a good choice, or Chistine Whitman. And if you are going to lower yourself to considering female mayors of CITIES, which are the same in population as the state Palin "ran" for 18 mos (except that Alaska has oil revenues which pay for everything so no hard choices need to be made really- its a corrupt cesspool up there)- well then there are dozens of female candidates. How someone came up with this colossal lightweight is amazing to me and very sad.
